Admin Tasks

The  main responsibilities of  admin are :
                                          1)Permanent data availability
                                          2)High Permanence




>>  DBA activities

  •   Implementing Database Design: Database, Table space, Table, Index and various objects.
  •   Data Maintenance.
  •  Log Management.
  •  Authorization and privileges for DB2 access.
  •  Regular Back up and Recovery Activities
  • DB2 Utilities: Runstats, Reorgs, DSNCOPY, DSNCOMP etc.
  •   Query tuning, stored procedures, Triggers.
  •   Space and CPU utilization Analysis..
  • Involved in Performance tuning and Problem Solving..
  • ·           Preparation of Program Specs.
  • ·         Coding and perform Unit Testing.
  • ·         Participate in peer reviews / walkthroughs of program code.
  • ·         Helping fellow team members on technical issues.
  • ·         Performs data analysis as it pertains to testing scenarios and problem troubleshooting.
  • ·         Perform unit testing &  System Testing and  Supporting UAT
  • ·         Actively participated in Production, User Support & on Call Support.
  • ·         Follow the Quality Process.
